ELECTRICAL ENGINEER Power Standards Lab seeks Electrical Engineer responsible for developing firmware for multi-processor poly-lingual instruments that measure world-wide power quality and power flow parameters on high-voltage, high-current systems; designing, developing, testing and debugging both hardware and firmware on those instruments using JTAG-based debuggers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, arbitrary waveform generators, SMT soldering systems; testing electronic circuitry including op-amp-based multi-pole analog filters; integrating firmware and performing firmware tests in a high-voltage (up to 6,000 volts) and high current (up to 1,000 amps) environment; optimizing hardware and firmware for manufacturability of product , including test and calibration optimization; participate in world-wide product support, including providing written explanations and instructions directly to world-wide customers.
