Head: Power Standards Lab licenses key patent

Power Standards Lab has licensed a key patent in the voltage sag immunity testing field.  The patent was invented
by Dr. Mack Grady of the University of Texas at Austin during research funded by Reliant Energy.  Reliant Energy
has issued an exclusive, world-wide sub-license to Power Standards Lab.

The patent, U.S. Pat. No. 5,886,429, is titled "Voltage sag/swell testing station."  It covers apparatus for testing 
the response of a sensitive electrical load to disturbances in alternating current power, that switch between a 
non-disturbed source of power and a disturbed source of power.
